If we try to change or replace any windows files like explorer,logonui,ntoskrnl etc we get a warning dialog of file missing to insert Windows XP CD.To disable this file protection we can disable this from Policy Editor.
To make the above setting follow the below steps:
1.Type "gpedit.msc" without quotes in Run command
you get the policy editor Window.
2.Navigate and find the Part :Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Windows File Protection
3.Select "Set Windows File Protection Scanning" and set it Disabled.

Prohibit Patching of EXE
Certain patch programs are malicious as they patch your program and too work as a silent trojan.I f you want the patching of programs not to be done, you can disable the patching feature from policy editor.
To make the above setting follow the below steps:
1.Type "gpedit.msc" without quotes in Run command
you get the policy editor Window.
2.Navigate and find the Part :Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Windows Explorer
3.Selct the setting "Prohibit Patching" and set it Enabled.
4.Done-Exit
To make the above setting follow the below steps:
1.Type "gpedit.msc" without quotes in Run command

Remove Shared Folders from My computer
If you think Shared Folder is not necessary you may remove it.This can be done by changing a registry entry.This can be restored only if you make a backup copy of the key.Making back up of registry was explained in last post.

Its your computer.Like to say something to others logging on to your system about You,your computer and rules ...or anything.???.You can do this by displaying a message box at time of logging in.
This can be done by Enabling a feature from registry.

Speed Up Yor Video Browsing
While opening folders containf video files...it takes more time than other folders...
this extra time is taken by windows for collecting some unwanted information.
We can fix this by deleting a Registry Value;
Follow the steps:
1.In run command type REGEDIT
now u get the registry editor window
2.Expand the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT
3.Navigate to CLSID AND EXPAND IT.
4.Find the Key :{87D62D94-71B3-4b9a-9489-5FE6850DC73E}

NTFS system is considered as a faster one over FAT ...we may improve the performance of
NTFS by a registry change:

3.Navigate to the Key:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Filesystem
4.Change the following registry values, as you wish:
DisableNTFSLastAccessUpdate = 1 (last file access is no longer registered).
NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation = 1 (no more double filenames: long names and the old 8.3
variant (the 8.3 file notation is used for the older Windows versions).
